Once the unfortunate fool discovers the fish taped to their back, the kids have a good yuck and scurry away, shouting\u00a0<strong>\u201cPoisson d\u2019avril, Poisson d\u2019avril.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One theory as to why April first is called \u201cApril Fish\u201d in France has to do with fishermen.\u00a0Historically, fishermen were prohibited from fishing during April because it was the breeding period of fish.
